How to Achieve Healthy Hair

This post is sponsored by Eva NYC, but all opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that support Hel On Heels Blog, LLC.

February is the month of love! It’s the perfect time to have a love affair with your hair. I have always had really long hair and have only cut it “short” twice in my life. I love short hair, but for my face shape and body type, I prefer to have longer hair.

My hair is color-treated, and I also heat-style it at least three times a week. I want to maintain my Barbie length and color, so I am passionate about taking care of my hair to keep my locks healthy and strong.

Here are a few of my favorite tips to keep long hair healthy!

  1. When brushing your wet hair, hold a paddle brush vertically to prevent breakage.
  2. Use ponytail holders that are kind to your hair.
  3. Sleep on a silk pillowcase to prevent tangling.
  4. Give your hair a heat break once a week.
  5. Invest in the right products.

Speaking of products, I’ve been using two products that I LOVE. Both products are available at Target so affordable—you get amazingly healthy hair without breaking the bank. YES PLEASE!

I use Therapy Session Hair Mask and Mane Magic 10-in-1 Primer from Eva NYC, a professional quality brand of seriously hard-hitting styling tools and hair care. Eva NYC promotes stronger, healthier and trend-slaying hair!

One of my favorite things about Eva NYC is their focus on diversity and inclusion. They make products for all hair colors and types. If you are looking for healthier hair, Eva NYC at Target will have a product for you.

The Therapy Session Hair Mask is a flexible product, one that you can use either as a weekly treatment or an everyday conditioner. Application is the same though. Apply generously to your hair, wait 2-5 minutes (I wait 5) and then wash it out!

This mask DEEPLY conditioners your hair by repairing and strengthening damaged hair and increasing strength and elasticity. The results are soft and hydrated hair. It’s especially amazing in the winter when my hair tends to be drier.

This product comes in a very large tub and costs only $15 at Target–worth every penny.

Mane Magic 10-in-1 Primer. is a miraculous solution with 10 benefits! The potion detangles, reduces frizz, strengthens, softens, cuts drying time, adds shine, nourishes, smooths, and protects against thermal damage, heat styling, and UV damage.

I love this product because it isn’t oily or greasy. It simply makes my hair healthy, shiny and bouncy. Mane Magic also cuts my routine in half because it’s one product. To apply, you shake the bottle and lightly spritz your damp hair before detangling or heat-styling. The Magic Mane 10-in-1 Primer is only $12.

I love the Eva NYC line because the products are clean, free from sulfates, parabens, phthalates, gluten, mineral oils, silicones, artificial colors and animal cruelty.

Have you tried Eva NYC products? What is your favorite hair care tip?
