Why You Should Add Banana Into Your Skin Care

Why You Should Add Banana Into Your Skin Care

Do you guys like bananas? What about in your skincare?

Sounds a little wonky, but it’s good stuff. Banana is full of benefits. The good benefits…the kind that make you pretty

Here are some of my favorite benefits of banana:

Moisturizes – banana is rich in potassium so it hydrates and moisturizes the skin making it soft and supple.

Oil Control – banana is a great exfoliater that removes dead skin and gets rid of excess oil.

Anti-aging effects – banana has been called “Nature’s botox” by Google. It fights age spots, prevents fine lines and wrinkles.

Treats acne – banana reduces inflammation and destroys bacteria.

Lightens dark spots – this includes acne scars, tiny moles, just normal everyday dark spots.

Treats puffy eyes – banana calms the blood vessels under your eyes to decrease puffiness.

Treats itchy skin – includes mosquito bites, dry skin, rough patches, whatever.

One of my favorite banana products is the OLEHENRIKSEN Banana Bright Face Primer. This is made with Vitamins C + E and banana powder-inspired pigments.

I’m obsessed with this primer. It improves make-up wear and is perfect for instant blurring and color correction. It applies like a cream, and it glow-boosting and brightens your skin! Finally it helps smooths skin and improves the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

You can wear this product as a primer, a highlighter, or by itself for a natural glow. I saw so many reviews of people who have straight up quit wearing make-up because this primer is so good, so it’s all they need.

If you want to take the banana a step further, you can pair this primer with the Banana Bright Eye Créme. This product is a brightening, vitamin C and banana-rich eye cream. It helps with aging, reduces the look of dark circles, and improves concealer application!

What about you? Do you add banana to your skincare?

I’ve never heard of using banana for skincare, but it makes sense, since they are so good to eat too! I love that they have anti-aging effect. How neat!
