–Desk: I bought this desk years ago, but I still love it.
–Rug: mine is from At Home and they don’t have an online site, but this is a VERY similar one.
–Pineapple Pillow: I bought mine on clearance at Macy’s but this is a similar one
–Diana Book: This was my book club book this month. It was excellent!
–Grey mirror: Mine is from HomeGoods, but this one is super similar.
We moved into our house in July, and this weekend we finally finished unpacking. It is SUPER exciting!
So I decided now that we are finishing up our house, it’s time to start sharing some rooms. BUTTTT if I’m being honest, my office is the only room I’ve finished. #Priorities
I call it my “cloffice” aka closet-office. I use it to get ready, write my blog posts, house my PR packages, and plan my outfits. I think it’s just the cutest room in the whole world…obviously I’m a little biased. It was already painted this color when we moved in. Turquoise just happens to my favorite color, so I left the walls as is and decorated around it. Plus this room has a fabulous view of our yard. We get a lot of wildlife back there so it’s fun to watch all the critters during the day.
First purchase was this rug to go in the living room, but it didn’t look exactly right. So I tried it upstairs in my office and it was a perfect fit. It’s a little metallic and matches the gold and grey accents throughout the office. I’m totally obsessed.
Next were my shelves. They were a less than $200 Ikea hack. You can check out how I made my DIY shelves here. They are fabulous for displaying my purses, jewelry, make-up, shoes, whatever.
I knew I needed some kind of additional table space, and the gold in this table was the SAME gold that I had just spray painted my shelves. It was like it was meant to be. So after I bought these two pieces, I found the perfect fur bench that matched all the gold and plopped it under a mirror I already had.
Everything else I have pieced together one piece at a time! I found something here, another thing there and finally it felt like a real home. Some of my favorite pieces are my gold and silver mannequin from HomeGoods, my Harper’s Bazaar Greatest Hits table book, and my Barbie Calendar — P.S. Mom, if you’re reading this. Please add the 2018 version to my Christmas wish list. 🙂
I love Hel On Heels new little headquarters.
What do you think of my office? Do you have an office? What is your decor style?
