Past Halloween Posts

Good Morning! Thanks for all the pep talks and costume ideas after my lukewarm Halloween feelings yesterday. Last night was just what I needed to bring me back to my usual level. My sister came home from college and decided to make a detour on her way to my parents and stopped at my house for dinner and Halloweentown. She helped me with my costume, made me put my fur babies back in theirs, and brought me the cutest painted pumpkin. So I’m slightly more excited for the weekend. Let’s look at my babies again because they are so flingin flangin cute.

I have a costume! Stephen and I are going to be Forrest and Jenny. He is going as running Forrest complete with long beard and short shorts. My costume is easy because I already have an awesome flower crown and long blonde hair. Boom. Queen of last minute costumes strikes again. I think the pirate and Cher from clueless might win the last minute costume category though. I came up with both of these in less than an hour.

I even have plans! For tonight…tomorrow is still up in the air. So I’m out of my slump-although I did hear a segment on the radio about a woman who was plastering her neighborhood in orange signs encouraging neighbors to give out peanut free, gluten free, non-GMO, dairy free candy and her suggestions to alternatives were carrot sticks and raisins (not Raisinettes)-that almost sent me spiraling right back down. Seriously? That’s not fun.

Anyways, because I’m back on my Halloween high. I decided to share some of my favorite posts from last year right when I started my blog.

Alternative Trick-Or-Treat Goodies – Sugar on sugar on sugar.

Last Minute Halloween Costumes – More of the past two days posts but easy last minute costumes!

Halloween Cocktails – I still think these are adorable!

DIY – Fall Funkins – Get glitter from one end of your house to the other.

Alright, have an awesome weekend! Be safe out there and please do not give out carrot sticks to your trick-or-treaters! Skittles are an excellent peanut-free, gluten-free option and happen to be my favorite.

Follow me on Instagram and Snapchat @HelenGuyYay mainly to watch me say Run Forrest Run a million times and Stephen casually jog around parties in his long man-beard and short shorts.

Happy Halloween!

I wanted to do glitter pumpkins this year but I was honestly too lazy and a bit afraid of all the glitter too–but those are gorgeous!
