It is cold. Really cold. I feel bad because I hardly have a right to complain because I live in Georgia and we are probably the warmest in the country at 8 degrees in the morning, but I’m still complaining. The only way I could really warm up today was a nice hot bath. Plus my muscles feel like stretched out old-lady spandex post gym so it was a win-win situation.
So today, I’m sharing my 5 tips to a perfect bath.
1. Make Bubbles
More bubbles = more fun. When you don’t have bubbles on hand, liquid soap works just as well.
2. Have Something To Do
Read a book, watch Netflix, paint your nails, drink wine (I quit doing this so I won’t drink my calories but you get the gist). You have to do something because just laying in your bubbles is not terribly exciting.
3. Heat It Up
The hotter the water, the more relaxed you will be…and warmer. Did I mention warmer?
4. Keep Your Pets Occupied
If you have pets, make sure they have something to do during your bath. With my kitty cat, my bath will go one of two ways. She will either sit on the side of the tub and be sweet and purr and play with the bubbles OR she will rifle through and flip over everything in my bathroom looking for hair ties. Today was the latter. Lesson learned.
5. Stand Up and Shower
Let’s face it. You aren’t actually using your bath to get clean. So when you’re finished stand up, turn the faucet and take a shower.
Happy almost Friday! Stay warm pals!
