Before we get to Valentine’s Day, we get to celebrate Galentine’s Day! I love the idea of Galentine’s Day–a fun day to celebrate your girlfriends.
This holiday originated from Leslie Knope on Parks and Rec. It takes place on February 13th and is just a fun fake holiday we’ve added to the calendar.
Today I want to share 5 fun ways to celebrate with your friends!
-Galentine’s Day Brunch. I did a whole post on this last year, but I’m bringing it up again because who doesn’t love brunch? Check out the post for details.
-Movie Night. Bring out the cute jammies and pink popcorn, it’s time for a chick flick marathon. Some of my movie staples are Mean Girls, a Pitch Perfect Marathon, and anything Mary-Kate and Ashley…yes I have the classics on DVD. Netflix also has some killer rom-com options including: To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before, When We First Met, Set It Up, and The Kissing Booth.
-Dessert Party Potluck. I think this would be SO much fun. Rather than having a full blown dinner, have everyone make or bring their favorite dessert. Then pick several wines and champagnes to pair with the fun desserts. You may all be in a sugar coma afterwards, but calories don’t count on holidays right? Even fake holidays.
-Gifts for your BFFs. What better way to let your friends know you love them than with a small fun gift. This is great especially if they are long-distance. Here are a few of my favorite ideas:
Do you celebrate Galentine’s Day? What are you doing this year?
