Happy Thursday pals! Wanna laugh at us? The city of Atlanta shut down Tuesday for a “Snow Day.” Actually we decided to shut down the city of Atlanta on Monday because it was supposed to snow on Tuesday.
Y’all. It never snowed. It was a sunny day.
Honestly after snowpocalypse in 2014, I’m fine that we’re overly cautious. I’d rather be home with my pets and my pajamas than out on the road if there is potential for ice. Atlanta is not equipped for any kind of snow and ice.
Because we had the “not-a-snow day” I spent the whole day at home with my husband and my fur-babies eating frozen pizza and watching Grey’s Anatomy re-runs. I worked from home which made me super lazy so I didn’t get yesterday’s post done. SO it became today’s post lol.
Today I want to talk about lip colors. This is a finicky topic for me because I’m so pale. My lip color could either be “Holy Crap Perfection” or bordering on “Bozo the Clown.”
These are five lip colors I can totally get behind.
ILIA Lipstick: Blossom Lady: This is actually a tinted lip conditioner, but it is SO pretty. I think this color is the perfect natural lip color. It’s a pretty pink shade that looks very subtle and natural. Bonus: it makes your lips feel good and hydrated. ESPECIALLY in the “not-a-snow-day” cold weather.
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick + Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Pillow Talk: This combination is my bread and butter. If you want something that just looks good, like sexy but not cheesy, this is the perfect combination. These products are made to make your lips look fuller. It is a matte lipstick so I throw on a little Chapstick over it, but still this is the best combination on the planet.
Revlon ColorStay Overtime Lip color 350 Bare Maximum: My aunt gave my sister this lip color for Christmas, and I loved it so much I had to purchase for myself. It’s more of a creamy formula and it lasts forever. This color in particular is great for my pale sister and I, but there are lots of shades available. I think like 27, so you can find the perfect shade.
Covergirl Melting Pout: 120 Tan-gel-o: Hilariously enough, I purchased this for my Halloween costume and ended up loving it! I have trouble with red lipstick. If it’s not perfect, then I wipe off the parts that aren’t but it still tends to stick around and it just looks messy. This is a liquid lipstick and it has a spongy tip so it’s very easy to apply exactly where you want it. It also looks great! I love this shade and it is a great red for pale people.
L’Oreal Paris Makeup Colour Riche 752 Classic Wine: I love this color. I wear it ALL the time. It’s darker than my everyday colors, but still feminine and girly. It’s not red but not pink, but like just the right shade for the pale folks. Also, it’s a hydrating lipstick so it nourishes your lips while you look pretty. I’m definitely here for this one and you can’t beat the price.
