Home Gym Reveal

So before we get into any of this.. I am officially going to Charleston Fashion Week next week! I’m super excited and will be there Thursday-Sunday. If you are going, hit me up please so we can hang out at the events!

Ok, back to today’s post. So even though the flu derailed me a little, Hubbs and I have been trying to exercise regularly. This summer we started renting a new house and our garage has a little spare room than we have turned into a home gym. A home gym is a great option for me in particular, because I have very little motivation to actually go to a gym. I like to work out early in the morning rather than the afternoon, so I only have to change and stumble downstairs rather than get in my car and head to a gym. Also it saves us some moolah!

So we have filled it with things we need. We have strength training, cardio, free weights, foam mats, you name it…ok not everything. But we have what we need.

Here are some of the things we included and where to buy them:

Twist Stepper (c/0 Wikibuy)

Yoga Mat

Simply Fit Board

Exercise Ball

Floor Matt

Ab Wheel

Olympic Bench

Amazon Echo Dot (because we have to listen to our tunes!)

Pull Up Bar

Thigh master (Why yes, I do have one…don’t make it weird)

Weighted Jump Rope

I also have a large piece of plywood that I use for tapping. I was a dancer growing up and I miss it a lot, so Stephen and I bought a board at Home Depot and I use it to dust off the old tap shoes and play around.

It’s not the most beautiful room in the house — it’s in our garage after all, but it is SO nice to have this space in our house where we can get our workouts in. I can do all my BBG workouts, and even have room for Fitness Marshall dance parties. Stephen can lift heavy things and do what he does. It’s great. We even get in a little cardio with our twist stepper.

Do you work out in your house or at a gym? What’s your favorite work out?

This looks great! How do you like the board?

  • When we purchase a house, I definitely plan to have a gym. I don’t like going to the gym where there’s a bunch of people lol

  • I would love to have a home gym set up. I’ve actually got a room in our basement that could work for one. I really want to get a treadmill though!

Great home gym! It looks like you have a lot of really good equipment to get a great workout in. Totally love it!

  • Good for you having a home gym and using it! We don’t have space for a home gym in our house, but we live less than a mile away from our city gym and go there 3X a week (or try to!)

  • It’s so great to have this right in the comfort of your home! I don’t have a full gym like this, but I have a treadmill and elliptical and love using them when I get up each day!

  • This is awesome! I’ve been thinking about bringing more gym things in to motivate me to squeeze workouts in at home!
